Show Pacelli Teachers & Staff Your Appreciation with a Heartfelt Note!

PTO has been helping students fill out "My Teacher Rocks" pages to help our kids show their appreciation to our wonderful faculty. Click the image to the right to download a page for yourself! Drop it off at the front office and we'll make sure that the teacher or staff member receives your recognition!

Celebrating Teachers During Catholic Schools Week

Where would we be without our teachers? While Catholic Schools Week puts a heavy focus on our students and creates fun memories for them, the PTO also wants to make sure we recognize our hardworking faculty and staff with a variety of opportunities and treats! This year we'll be hosting lunch catered by Maplewood (thank you to Maplewood for their generous discount!), offering chair massages and gifting each homeroom teacher a portable Bluetooth speaker to help them bring their lessons (and tunes) outside!

La Soupe was founded as a non-profit in 2015 by Chef Suzy DeYoung with the goal of bridging the gap between food waste and food insecurity.

Cincinnati Gives a Crock

Food collected during our food drive will go to supporting the Cincinnati Gives a Crock program at La Soupe!

This program teaches disadvantaged youth basic culinary skills and then sends them home with a crockpot, easy to follow recipes and the ingredients needed for these recipes. This program empowers the youth to take simple ingredients and transform them into nourishing meals for their families. This program has taught over 500 classes and 5,500 students to date!

Rescue, Transform, Share: La Soupe's chefs and volunteers use rescued food to create delicious, healthy meals to share with partner agencies who distribute those meals to clients facing food insecurity.

With the support of dedicated volunteers, La Soupe has rescued over 4 million pounds of food and shared over 2.5 million restaurant-quality servings since its inception.
Educate: La Soupe's culinary education classes address some of the root causes of food insecurity by creating ways for people to access the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to make healthy meals. In 2021 they educated over 1800 students through programs like Give a Crock, Cooking for the Family, and Cooking Improv.
Nourish: Our Nourish program provides soups and nutritional interventions for heart health and Diabetes to Share Partners, who offer wraparound health services for vulnerable communities.

Food is Medicine: An extension of our Nourish initiative. Food is Medicine will strengthen our connection to nutritional  benefits and healthcare outcomes.
Inspire: La Soupe is expanding our impact across Ohio with the launch of the La
Soupe Kitchen Network. The network will be an alliance of kitchens committed to La Soupe's chef-based model, Rescue, Transform, Share. La Soupe will mentor
members and share knowledge, best practices, and resources.
Support La Soupe Beyond CSW:  Donations will  help them feed, educate and nourish our communities! You can support La Soupe by donating at lasoupe.org, or if you'd like to send a check to our Walnut Hills location, please make them payable to La Soupe.
